This policy applies to the BerlinOne.ca website, the BerlinOne.app application, and all related services.

Active Account

Information related to your account is retained as long as it remains active.

Account Deletion

When you delete your account:

your personal information is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time;
your private categories and their content are deleted;
restrictedly shared categories are deleted;
categories you have voluntarily made public may be retained permanently after their author has been anonymized to ensure the integrity, continuity, and collective value of the BerlinOne knowledge base.

In the latter case, all information that could identify you is deleted or dissociated from the retained content.

Technical Logs

Security and operational logs are retained for a maximum period of twelve (12) months, unless otherwise required by law.

Depending on applicable laws, you may exercise the following rights:

right of access;

right to erasure;
right to restriction of processing;
right to object;
right to data portability;
right to withdraw your consent where consent is the basis for processing.

7. Service Providers

To operate BerlinOne, we use certain specialized providers.

Depending on the features used, your information may be processed by:

Supabase (authentication, database, and storage);
Vercel (application hosting);
Stripe (subscription and payment management);
Resend (sending transactional emails);
Google (Gemini) for certain AI Lab features and automatic translations;
cron-job.org for certain automated tasks.

These providers may only process the information transmitted to them within the scope of the services they provide to us.

8. International Transfers

Some of our service providers may process personal information outside of Quebec or Canada.

When such transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the information receives an adequate level of protection, notably through contractual safeguards where required.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information, including:

As no computer system is completely risk-free, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
